Where's the evidence?

It often starts with a perfectly reasonable question.

“Can you show us how you know your business is secure?”

Perhaps an insurer, a customer or someone on your management team wants to know what you've done to protect the business. Are people trained? Are accounts protected? Are the computers and backups being looked after? When was everything last checked?

You may know some of the answers, while colleagues know the rest. The proof might be spread between emails, training records, security tools and old spreadsheets.

And somebody has to bring it all together.

We've seen how much care goes into securing the everyday systems businesses depend on. It made us curious about the evidence those efforts leave behind. What would change if that evidence was part of the everyday picture?

THE THINKING BEHIND IT

If a number matters, you deserve to know where it came from.

We want Posture to earn your trust through evidence you can examine and decisions you can understand. It's the same instinct that drives our work elsewhere: ask what the evidence really tells us, then make it useful.

Follow the evidence.

When something is marked as checked, you should be able to see the information behind that answer and understand how it was reached.

Know when it was true.

A check from last year isn't the same as one carried out yesterday. We're designing Posture to show when evidence was collected and whether it may need another look.

Build confidence in people.

Training and simulated exercises should recognise learning, reporting and improvement. We want security habits people understand and take ownership of.

Test with care and permission.

Security testing should only happen with the right permission, clear limits and protection for each organisation's information.

WHY THIS MATTERS TO US

We understand the technology beneath the surface. That's why we're building this.

We already work with the things businesses rely on: managed device patching, Microsoft 365 environments, endpoint protection deployment and SSL certificate monitoring.

That work teaches you something. A control can be configured correctly and still be difficult to describe months later. A warning can be spotted and resolved, but the useful history of what happened ends up somewhere else.

Posture grows from a practical ambition: connect the technical work with the organisational understanding it deserves. The platform is in development; the hands-on technical experience behind the idea is already part of what we do.
